Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware (EFDE) was formed by members of the Easter Seals Society—physicians, parents, and others—directly concerned with the problems of epilepsy. After a number of years of informal meetings and activities, the Association was incorporated in 1964.  The Foundation continues to be the only organization in the state established to address the non-medical needs of people with epilepsy/seizure disorders and their families.

With office in New Castle County, we offer nationally recognized programs and services to residents in all 3 counties throughout Delaware and we work to ensure an improved quality of life for those who face the challenges presented by epilepsy or seizure disorders.

EFDE provides free educational programs and referral services to individuals with epilepsy/seizure disorders and their families, as well as educational programs for the broader community. Programs include but are not limited to:

  • Individual Support & Information

  • Epilepsy Educational Conferences & Workshops

  • Seizure Recognition & Management for School Personnel

  • Take Charge of the Facts for Teens
